Broken facings
- Contact mark on the teeth of spline and the end of hub
- Burrs at the end of hub due to uneven wear on the spline teeth
- Damaged torsion springs
- Damaged facing material
- Oily facings

- Wear out on teeth of spline / Cushion spring steel segments separated from hub area
- Rust on the teeth of spline hub
- Unable to install the clutch disc to the main drive shaft
- Dropout of torsion spring/wear out of stop pin
- Hit mark to spline teeth and end surface. Crack to clutch plate.
Cause
Following factors lead to high temperature of friction surface, resulting in this problem.
1) Driving with a foot on a clutch pedal
2) Overloading vehicle
3) Improper starting gear
4) Clutch pedal height or free play maladjustment
