Faulty under diaphragm spring
- Distorted retracter leaf spring / Faulty with gap above diaphragm spring
- Faulty under diaphragm spring
- Clutch diaphragm fingers or levers are uneven
- Diaphragm fouled on clutch disc
- Worn clutch disc facing fibers and dirtlodged between diaphragm spring and clutch coverhousing.
- Excessive wear on diaphragm tips
- Oil or grease contamination on friction surface
- Discoloration on friction surface and/or clutch cover
- Warped clutch cover assembly by reuse
- Hold down bolts still in cover assembly
- Mirror finish on pressure plate friction surface
- Burst pressure plate casting
- Interference with the other part
- The position of clutch cover holes is not aligned with flywheel
- Abnormal sound with foot off clutch pedal (metal squeaking sound). Sound disappears with light pressure or full depression of the clutch pedal is applied.
- Clutch cover and Flywheel unavailable to install. (Flywheel knock pin cannot be installed, Bolt hole unmatch)
Cause
Clutch cover pressure plate assembly has been dropped during installation or transit causing damaged retracter clips. The pressure plate does not move properly, when you depress the clutch pedal.
Solution
Replace with a new cover assembly. Never use the dropped clutch.
A clutch is a precision component, treat in a careful manner.
